PASTEL COLORS

So, since it´s a new year and I´ve been thinking too much about new clothes LOL….but I have also been trying to find other ways to wear what I already have, and layering is a great way to do that. Not only because, it looks very attractive and fun, but also because it really helps us to take advantage of everything we already have.

 I don´t remember the last time I wore this gingham shirt by itself, but I do remember wearing it under many sweaters, or over other tops, and that´s the best part about it. I can be layered it in so many different ways that it can literally stay in my closet for 5 more years.  Many people like to say that a new year, means new closet, but if you don´t have the budget to do so, stick to layering and trying new ways of wearing what you already have :),  a closet detox is always a good idea, but layering is definitely a little more pocket friendly! Also, play with all those belts, and necklaces you have hanging in your rooms, they will never let you down! Remember accessories are the exclamation mark to any outfit! What do you think? I think I did pretty good with the layering today 🙂

Año nuevo, closet nuevo? Bueno para muchos así lo eso, pero la verdad es que no todos podemos renovar nuestro closet en un 100%. Una de las mejores alternativas es aprender a combinar capas sobre capas. Desde mi punto de vista diría que la idea principal de hacerlo es por supuesto abrigarnos y protegernos del frío, pues en climas calientes es bastante difícil hacerlo por aquello de las temperaturas, pero hay algo detras de esta ténica de vestir que muchas veces no analizamos. Es la mejor forma de aprovechar cada prenda que tenemos, de sacarle el mayor uso posible y de no  permitir que nos cansemos tan rapido de las cosas que cuelgan en nuestros armarios. Yo no recuerdo la última vez que use esta camisa de cuadros sola, pero si recuerdo que tiene muchos años en mi closet y que siempre la combino con algo. Su estampado aunque sea de cuadros, la hace muy versatíl y facíl de combinar con otras prendas, lo cúal me hace pensar que estará en mi closet por varios años más. Muchos dicen que el año nuevo merece un closet nuevo, pero en realidad si no tienes el presupuesto para hacerlo, te recomiendo mezclar más tus prendas y usarlas de otras formas diferentes! Claro que una limpieza de closet también sería perfecto para empezar el año con lo que realmente necesitamos y darle espacio a nuevas prendas y siluetas, pero darle uso diferentes a lo que ya tenemos es un poco más amigable para el bolsillo! y nos impulsa a ser más creativos también!

Que opinan? Volviendo al look de hoy, creo que me fue bien mezclando las prendas!
