Magazines, blogs, and websites are always telling us what to wear, what’s right, what’s not, what’s in, what’s out… but.. OK… I’m going to be honest, yes, I’m about to tell you what I think makes the ideal winter wardrobe… which kinda means.. I’m also telling what’s the right thing to wear….but I really want to do is inspire you, and give you ideas! Take what you think will be a good fit for you, and your life style! At the end of the day, what matters is to stay true to ourselves, and feel comfortable all the time. These options are completely based on my personal experience, and I think they are the most versatile pieces you can ever purchase. Think faux leather, camel coats, over the knee boots, faux fur, ad cross body bags… do they sound familiar?! If you follow me on social media, specially on instagram @chictalkch, those 5 elements sum up what I’ve been wearing non-stop this winter, and this is why I think YOU NEED one of each of those items right now!
FAUX LEATHER JACKETS
A moto jacket is a piece that can’t never go out of style. A classic design that can be worn all year long, and if you get it black, you are definitely making the right choice! I’ve also been wearing it under my winter coats, and I LOVE how they look layered with thicker pieces. It looks unexpected, and so chic! One think that I do recommend when doing that kind of layering is choosing a coat that has some extra room. Believe me, you want to make sure you can move your arms 😉 Boyfriend coats are my favorite! CAMEL COATS
Another must-have! Yes, I really don’t want to be like ” You must get it”, but they are so necessary! Camel is a such a good neutral! It goes with most colors, and the length I’m wearing in the pictures is the one I recommend the most. A long coat always adds an instant polished touch to any look, even if you are just wearing a pair of jeans with a white t-shirt… try it.. and let me know what you think! 😉
OVER THE KNEE BOOTS
For freezing temperatures all I want to wear is over the knee boots, they are such life savers, they keep you warm yet stylish… Can I ask for more?! No, right?! I’ve been wearing these gray ones via Public Desire non-stop, but black ones are indispensable too! Take a look at my favorites below!
FAUX FUR COATS
You’ve seen how much I’ve been wearing them. Here and here you can see my favorite outfits featuring the ones I currently have! They are such an incredible option to stay away from the puffy jackets or the coat you always wear. And, believe me, they do keep you warm!
CROSSBODY BAGS
Besides from being my favorite kind of bags, I really appreciate the fact that they make my life easier when it comes to winter days. Sometimes I’m wearing so many layers I can’t even move, and the last thing I want to worry about is carrying a bag in my hands! Crossbody bags are definitely my GO-TOs. They allow me to be hands free, and most of them have enough room to bring all my essentials! I recently purchased a cute 3.1 Phillip Lim one, and I’m obsessed! Rebecca Minkoff also carries some designs that I love! Here are my favorite options for really good prices!
