SHOP THE LOOK
It’s 8:19pm and just a few days ago, we used to have daylight around this time of the day. Fall is DEFINITELY here. I’m trying to make myself believe everything is going to be ok. But, to be honest. The only thing that makes me excited about fall is the clothes I will be wearing. Oh, and the orange and red trees, that we only get to see for like two weeks, other than that, that’s it.
It’s been 14 years, since I moved to Denver and I still haven’t fallen in love with the cold seasons. I still think I’m too Colombian for this type of weather, sometimes I don’t understand how I’ve made it this far in Denver . By now, I should be living in Florida. But, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I hate it, because as I find inspiration in every single thing I see, I will probably be the first person on social media posting pictures about the trees and the things that actually make me a little excited about the season.
I think the fast that Denver’s weather is so extreme it’s what’s made everything worst for me. Because fall in Denver is not really fall. Out of the three months the season lasts for, only the first month really feels like fall, the other ones are freezing cold and there’s snow everywhere. Saying hi to fall, means I’m saying good by to the long sunny days, the rain, the perfect weather, the rooftop happy hours and Sunday’s by the pool which didn’t really happen this year, but they still count.
Anyways, I have to move on and get over it. But, I promise you guys, like every year, I will try my best and E-N-J-O-Y it.
And, the only way I can enjoy it is through fashion. Yes, as silly as that might sound, fall clothes are the only thing that make excited about this season . The cozy cardigans, crisp sneakers, oversized sweaters and camel coats. Yes, those are some the things I’m looking forward to enjoy this season and that’s why during the next weeks, I’ll be sharing a blog series called “Fall’s Checklist” to showcase those must-have pieces and all the trends you will want to give a try.
So, let’s get started with blazers. Here is a timeless idea on how to style a blazer. They are definitely a power piece in any closet. The possibilities with them are endless and you can pretty much wear them with anything. Missguided is a brand that carries one of my favorite styles right now and the color of the one I’m wearing in these pictures is to die for.
It comes in multiple colors too. I’m not going to lie, I want to have it in every single color, the red one is amazing and it’s my current favorite. Red will be a huge trend this fall and if you pair it with red wide leg pants for a monochromatic look, you will KILL it. I promise.
I will continue showing you guys a lot of pieces from Missguided. They have everything I’m looking for right now plus they always offer code for amazing discounts! Right now if you use “babespree” they wil give you 50% of 4 items or more.
By the way, I’m trying a new color edit on my photos. What do you guys think?
