Saint Valentine’s day is finally here! And this year I’ve decided to come up with a different idea and surprise Mauricio with something we usually don’t do! Our lives have been so busy lately that we can’t hardly make plans to celebrate special dates. Thats’s why I thought putting together a cute/yummy Valentines Day brunch and have more of a private celebration at home would be a good idea. He loves brunch and I know he will really appreciate it! Plus, mornings are usually our time together because of his schedule and brunching at home just sounds about perfect!
THE PERFEC VALENTINES DAY BRUNCH
To make this Valentines Day brunch really special, I’ve partnered up with Gordmans to get everything I needed for the special occasion and show you guys how I styled the tablescape. Gordmans is such a great place to find home decor accessories, I specially loved the section where they have all the accessories to decorate the kitchen, living room and bedroom.
This time I was able to find a lot of white pieces, which by the way are my favorite! I love having everything white because it allows me to incorporate color in so many different ways. I specially loved the white bowls with silver accents pictured in the photos. Aren’t they gorgeous?! Plus, how elegant they look! I thought they would be perfect to serve all the croissants and fruit.
Since we are celebrating Saint Valentine’s Day, I wanted to add a pop of pink and red through flowers and that little polka dot heart was ideal. It added the perfect touch to keep things colorful yet delicate. The candles which by the way smell like heaven added the perfect fragrance for the moment. I specially loved the marble prints on them. I’m obsessed with marble and Gordmans has a ton of accessories with this print!
Shopping for Saint Valentine’s day accessories at the store was so easy. Right in the entrance of the store, they had a Saint Valentine’s display with a lot of chocolates, accessories, love signs and cute little accents you can’t miss. I love these “with all my love” wooden signs! They are such an unexpected yet sweet detail! Just like the coffee mugs!
These kind of projects are my favorite! I love getting creative and these occasions are always so fun to play with! I also love the idea of just celebrating at home because it’s a week day and restaurants just get so busy and packed!
