Just like pastel colors are one of the biggest trends of the season, bold colors are too. Red is one of the favorites right now, if you pay close attention to all the magazine trend reports and social media channels, red is pretty popular these days. And red and pink styled together even more. Red has been on my radar for a while and I’ve been trying to find a way to style with pink. I saw one of my favorite bloggers the other styling these two colors and I became obsessed with the idea.
I was dying to to find a red suit but I’m not going to lie the baby bump is really popping and I can’t fit into high waisted pants anymore, so here I am styling this adorable red blazer I found on Nordstrom with a red mini skirt and Kenzo t-shirt which I thought was the perfect pop of pink.
If you are dying to style red and pink together, here are some tips for you to consider:
1. MIX DIFFERENT SHADES OF RED
Don’t be afraid of mixing different kinds of reds in the same outfit. Monochromatic looks are super chic and the mix of different reds can be the key of success in this case.
2.MIX WITH DIFFERENT TEXTURES
Red and pink can look amazing together and if you add a fun texture you can be taking your look to the next level. For example, mix linen with cotton, cotton with chiffon, silk and leather, cotton and vinyl.
Mixing textures will always look super interesting.
3.ADD THAT POP OF PINK THROUGH ACCESSORIES OR VICEVERSA
If you want to wear red and pink together, it doens’t necessarily needs to be just through clothes. You can break up you looks with a pop or pink or red depending on which one is the most predominant.
If you are wearing a red dress maybe pinks sandals or a pink handbag would be a great addition or if you are wearing a pink look, a pop of red through shoes or earrings would be ideal.
