How many of you use SPF every day?
My answer is completely different right now that I’m more aware of the consequences of not wearing it every day. But if you would have asked me some years ago, my answer would have been “I only use it if I’m going to be the beach or if I’m going to be laying by the pool”. I know, I know… how bad?!
I honestly can’t believe I used to be like that with my skin. Just like water, SPF is fundamental! UV rays are so bad, and we need to protect our skin 24/7 and if you didn’t know, we still need to wear it every single day even if we are not going to be exposed to direct sun light. I grew up in a very warm city in Colombia and I used to expose myself to the sun every single weekend and all I would wear was tanning lotion but not sunscreen. I just can’t even process that information right now! It sounds so scary and irresponsible!
Thank God, that has changed and my relationship with SPF is much friendlier.
One thing that has really helped me to very consistent with the use of SPF is finding products that already have it. If it’s an extra step in my daily beauty routine I tend to be lazy and skip it, especially if I’m in a rush.
