Happy Sunday friends! I’m excited to finally share this blog post featuring some home office décor ideas. Since the day we moved to our apartment, I never had a working space and after almost three years of working from our dining table, we came to conclusion I really needed a home office. Our apartment only had two bedrooms and the question always was, how were we going to make it happen?
Well, this space you are seeing here is where our TV used to be. Mauricio gave me the idea of moving the TV stand to somewhere else in our apartment so I could use that wall as an office. At the beginning I was afraid to do it because we loved having our TV in the living room to watch Netflix, soccer games and just to hang out in the living room in general, but we needed to prioritize and we ended up moving the TV to our bedroom and the TV stand right behind the dining table, and now that I’m seeing how this little office turned out, I couldn’t be happier.
I finally have a space to work from! I had the best time decorating it and here you guys are going to be able to shop absolutely everything you are seeing. Under the photos, you will find a shopping widget with all the things I used to put together this space. I wanted to keep things simple, neutral and still very chic. So, marble accents, a white chair and a few faux plants here and there needed to be part of the décor plans.
Now that I have this space, I feel like I work a lot more efficiently and I’m being more organized as well. Having drawers where I can keep all my documents, mail and packages feels so good. Also the fact that the desk is facing the wall helps me stay a lot more concentrated, before I used to get distracted by all the things that I needed to do at home, and now, I can just sit down and tackle my daily to-do list!
Also, having this space motivates me to wake up every single day and get ready for the day as soon as I have my morning coffee! I literally treat it as if I had to leave the apartment and go to an office job and love it!

Después de vivir tres años en este apartamento, Mauricio y yo decidimos que yo definitivamente necesitaba un espacio para trabajar. Siempre he trabajado desde el comedor y la verdad no lo recomiendo!. ¡Ya se podrán imaginar el desorden! Así que después de pensarlo por varios meses, tomamos la decisión y empezamos a trabajar en este pequeño proyecto.
En esta pared que ven estaba el televisor de la sala anteriormente. Lo que hicimos fue mover la mesa en donde estaba y la pusimos detrás del comedor y pasar el televisor a nuestro cuarto. Tener esta pared completamente vacía fue lo máximo y empezar este pequeña oficina desde cero me emocionó demasiado. ¡Cómo se podrán imaginar no me aguante y trate de hacer todo lo más pronto posible! Target y Homegoods fueron mis dos destinos principales!
En cuanto a la decoración siempre tuve muy claro lo que quería. Una historia de color bastante neutra, y sencilla. El blanco me transmite mucha tranquilidad y me parece indispensable que mi espacio de trabajo sea así para la concentración. La idea fue crear un espacio moderno, con acentos de mármol y dorados y algo de verde. Las plantas nunca me pueden faltar así sean artificiales. El toque de frescura que aportan me parece indispensable en la decoración de mi hogar.

Tener una oficina representa demasiado para mí, no se alcanzan a imaginar la emoción que siento todas las mañanas al ver este espacio esperándome para trabajar. Me motiva demasiado a alistarme y no quedarme en pijamas todo el día como lo hacia mucho anteriormente. El tener un espejo al lado me facilita demasiado tomar fotos de lo que me estoy poniendo a diario y compartirlo con ustedes, así que estén listo porque van a empezar a ver muchas selfies con los looks de día en mis redes sociales!
