TGIF! So excited to finally post these images here on the blog! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw the news almost two weeks ago! We are having another baby! Yes! We can’t believe we are doing this all over again! We feel so blessed and beyond excited to continue growing our little family, but most of all we are so excited for Sofi to have a little brother or sister. She is so thrilled and we know she will be the best big sister ever!
We found out I was pregnant the day of our 6th Anniversary in mid December. I had a feeling I was pregnant but I didn’t want to get too excited until I was officially late to get my period. We didn’t have big plans for our anniversary but I thought it would just perfect to take a pregnancy test that day hoping I was going to have good news to share with Mauricio.
What’s funny is that the pregnancy test didn’t come fully positive. This test needed to have two red lines for it to show “pregnant” and the second line was kind of blurry! But I had a feeling I was pregnant because of the symptoms I was having. When I showed Mauricio the test he was so happy and it truly felt like the best anniversary gift! I will never forget that day, it was so special and we were both so excited! We decided to wait a few more days to take another test and that second came out positive and the rest is history!
We visited my OBGYN and he told me I was already 7 weeks pregnant. It felt so surreal and we just kept thinking the whole time how lucky and grateful we felt. Things happen so fast and every time I can I thank God for that. Mauricio and I have always dreamt of having a big family and the fact that we are living that dream right now makes us feel so grateful and blessed.
Keeping this secret for the first months was so hard! We told our families the minute we passed the first trimester and so far things are going great. Baby is healthy and things are going very well for both of us!I can’t wait to fill you in with more details about the first trimester, it was tough and just so incredibly different from my experience with Sofi!
