Hey guys! I’m super excited to finally show you our apartment decoration! It’s been two and a half months since Mauricio, and I moved to our new place, and as promised, here is my first blog post showing you how things are looking! The entire decorating process has been so fun, and We are loving our new place. The apartment is so spacious, the high ceilings are amazing, and we specially like the light it has during the day.

Contemporary home decor has always been so fun for me, shopping for decor pieces is constantly on my radar, but I like to take my time to make the right decisions to buy what’s really going to work with the aesthetic we have in our place. Creating the concept we wanted to go for was key, looking for inspiration, and finding what truly represents what we want our home to look like was so important.

Pinterest is such a great place for that, I browsed a lot of contemporary home decor boards that gave me so many ideas, and as I kept finding them I always shared them with Mauricio because he loves to be involved.

At the end, we decided that gray, and white were going to be the lead colors in our living room. As I kept browsing for the right pieces, I realized that Article was the perfect online destination for what we kept looking for. I’ve a big fan of their product for the longest time, and I’m in love with all the contemporary home decor they carry right now. Everything is so modern, contemporary, chic and it has outstanding attention to detail, which you know I’m all about that :).

We initially started to look for a rug, and the Taza Rug instantly caught our eye! These pictures don’t even do justice for how gorgeous it is!. The quality is amazing, very soft, and it’s made of 100% New Zealand wool. The underfoot sensation is incredible. We really love it, and we got the 8×10, which is the bigger version of it.

Since we already had a red chair in our living for a pop of color, we decided not to add more strong accents, and stay within a cold color palette. That’s why these square and rectangular pillows from their Velu collection were ideal for what we wanted to go for. The geometrical designs are very eye catching, and the velvet applications on them add a very unexpected touch. Plus, they paired perfectly with the fuzzy pillow we already had.

To top off the decoration in our living room, and to make it feel extra cozy, we selected the Lanna throw. How darling is it? and the color is the perfect shade of gray. It’s made of 100% New Zealand and Australian sheepskins, so it’s incredibly soft, and delicate. It truly looks great on top of any chair, sofa or table, but we decided to put it on top of the little bench we had in our living room. It also comes in three more colors, take a look here!

We are so happy with the results, and the colors we played with are definitely something we won’t get tired of in a long time!
